4.8% XPA. Eat The Sun. Summer time. Fun time. This time of year people are looking for beers that aren't so high in alcohol. Solar Flare is extremely pale for an ale. Epic used the Low Colour Maris Otter malt to give this beer an extremely low colour for an ale. It looks more like a pilsner. With an Extreme Pale Ale we needed an Extreme Name.

Solar Flare acknowledges the sun and the energy that it sends us (to grow hops and barley) as well as this fantastic time of the year when it's warm and we are celebrating outside.
The hops are a blend of some of our summer favourites. Amarillo, Simcoe and Mosaic hops. Remember this isn't a big hop angry IPA, it is an XPA with some wonderful citrus/floral hop aroma and a light crisp pale malt base with lovely fruity hop flavours shining across you palate.
