Bridge Road Brewers
7% Sour IPA hopped with 100% Mosaic Hops. Brewed in Beechworth. Here at Bridge Road we’re often up for a bit of boundary bending when it comes to beer styles. We’re really impressed with the IPA’s that Akasha continue to make, we thought we’d take their bullet proof IPA formula and add a little twist. This all Mosaic IPA has been soured just a touch to provide an IPA alternative that has what we think is just the right amount of zing to keep Akasha brewer Gav on our side. BRIDGE ROAD BREWERS x AKASHA BREWING COMPANY
Bridge Road Brewers and Akasha Brewing Company are releasing 2 collaborative IPAs, Bling Smith Australian IPA + Gav’s Sour IPA.
The concept for this collaboration was simple – What could we learn from each other + How can we use these influences to approach brewing differently?
Dave Akasha on the collab:
“We have always looked up to Ben and the team at Bridge Road as some of the best brewers in Australia. The opportunity to brew not one, but two beers with this iconic brewery was an opportunity to good to pass up. Both breweries are well known for their use of hops both local and from the States so we’re confident the two beers are going to be something special.
Ben Bridge Road on the collab:
“I have worked together with Dave on the board of IBA for the past year or so, the problem with that has been when we meet we rarely get to talk beer as it’s usually about industry progress or issues.
This was an awesome chance to work with Dave and his team and learn about how they brew and also manage the rest of their business. He has a great team and a great brewer, Gab, who was kind enough to let us poke fun of him the name of one of the beers, proof that he isn’t in fact sour at all.”
